THE CHEF
Born into a family of bakers, Chef Alessio Rasom absorbed the culinary traditions of Northern Italy from a young age. At 17 he entered the world of elite cooking at the renowned Ristorante Trussardi alla Scala, and went on to hone his skills in Michelin-starred kitchens of Le Mirazur, Le Bristol and Ze Kitchen Galerie.
In 2014, Alessio set out to cycle from France to Vietnam, where he eventually settled along the central coast. Today he helms the kitchen at Si Dining in Da Nang, and Lim Dining Room in Hoi An. Alessio's cooking is characterised by careful attention to detail, fine expression of harmony, and respect for quality ingredients.

THE RESTAURANT
Lim Dining Room claims one of the most beautiful two-storey houses in the Hoi An Ancient Town, with a wide al fresco terrace, an inner courtyard presided over by a leafy banyan tree, and an upper floor tucked away from the busy streets.
Created entirely of wood, the structure is a study in Hoi An's ancient houses, with delicate carved balustrades, ornate panels, and clay tile roofing. Inside, the space is set with a mix of minimalist Scandinavian and antique Vietnamese furniture. The walls feature contemporary Vietnamese art pieces from the owners' private collection.
